Kate Moross

Kate Moross is one of the most famous graphic designer, illustrator and art director in London, Uk. She is recognized by her typographic illustrations. Therefore, at her 26 young age she has achieved a prominent position of the designing in the world (Kate Moross, 2019). She is currently the art director of Studio Moross, London. Her artworks follow certain pattern such as three sided shapes, illegible typography and she is fond of freeform lettering.

In 2010, she began her career joined Pulse Films as a director. She directed a number of music videos for popular artists, such as Mobile Disco, Alpines, MTV EMA, AB Carter, Simian and others (Kate Moross, 2019), Moross worked closely with the artist with each release. She feels it is crucial to get close to the music so that one can create the definitive visual representation of the sound. She was ranked 18th in the NME’s Future 50 innovators during her career who hold the key to the future music, in 2008.

What I interests the most are her works and her design. Moross worked across a range of illustrative art and designing including motion graphics, photography and moving image.

After her graduation she has worked prolifically and created bold artwork for some of the leading clients. Her designing skills can be witnessed in the ads for ESPN, Paul Smith, Mini Cooper, Fabergé, Adidas and Nike. Furthermore, she also has attended several seminars, art conferences and festivals where she talked as a primary speaker. She delivered these lectures at OFFSET Festival Dublin, TYPO Berlin ‘Touch’, After School Club II and Offenbach, Germany.

Besides that, her signature clothing range for Topshop, illustrations for Vogue Magazine and a nationwide billboard campaign for Cadbury also helped her put her name on the map. In 2012, she sat on the jury for the D&AD Awards. She has also been selected for Creative Future award by Creative Review, in 2007 (Kate Moross, 2019).

Some of the works by Moross:

29 Rooms (Moross, 2017)

Uniqlo London Event (Moross, 2018)

Kiehl's Launch Tokyo (Kate Moross, 2017)

One of the famous works that Moross has designed was for 29 Rooms. She created in a celebration of pride and LGBTQA love. She wanted to reach audiences and encouraged people to join under a neon rainbow installation with Love Wins typography. Each stripe of the rainbow flag is powered by a universal message, showing that love is love, and you should always love yourself - and whomever else you desire.

I find Kate Moross works very inspirational and also know how she way to explore and she made the typography is beautiful. In addition to that, I love how she to bring out the powered message in behind for each of works and showing the feeling to the audiences.
