1. What do you enjoy?

In general, there are many things that I enjoy and make me happy. Some of those things are croissants, photography, anything in a chunky or special object, traveling, animals, beaches, Chinese lettering as well as ancient Chinese architecture. I also like watching drama on my bed after a long tiring day at work. Besides, studying skin products also one of the things that I enjoyed the most because I love to take care of my skin. Whereas of recently I’ve been getting into cooking and finding new recipes to try.

2. What do you fear?

I’ve always been a fear of accepting the leaving picture and had a fear of losing something but a big fear of mine is a failure. Whenever I start to do something or making any decision before I have to think twice or more as I’m afraid of what might happen. I also have a fear of communication especially doing explanations for my work.

3. What do you want from the course?

Something I want from this course is to find what my strengths are and to find my value.

4. What can you offer the course?

I believe that I can offer my peers and opinions when they ask me as well as my positivity in and out of class.

5. Where do you want to be/what do you want to be doing two years from now?

Two years from now I would like to be grateful for the job I have and to be working for a brand/company of an industry that I love being a part of.

6. Which designers/illustrators provide a context or inspiration for the type of work you want to do?

When it comes to designing and illustrating I have two different styles (I guess) hahaha. Below are some people that inspire me when creating. Though both are quite different styles, my preferred design direction for typography, booklet, packaging, etc is more towards colorful and natural colors. I am still perfecting my style as it’s important for me to try out different styles to see what I like.

7. What current issues might graphic designers need to focus on or address?

I think that it’s important for designers to know that to design things that are inspiring not about to design trendy. Think about what got you into design in the first place. Don’t get caught up in the trends. Get back to the reasons you started design in the first place. Therefore I strongly believe that graphic designers should think about whether design trends might holding you back.

8. How would you define bad design or illustration?

I don’t think there’s a definition of a bad design, as we are all lifelong learners and there is always have a space for improvement no matter what.
